Welcome to the First Hengqin-Macau International Forum on Big Health Industry (HM-BHI 2023 )

The First Hengqin-Macau International Forum on Big Health Industry (HM-BHI 2023) will be held on 18-22 September 2023 in Hengqin-Macau, China. The ultimate ambition of the forum is to take the unique advantages of China’s Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, and build an exchange platform for the international big health industry, aiming at technology innovations and new markets. During the forum, the latest developments of big health industry will be disseminated, and ideas will be exchanged between entrepreneurs, investors, scientists and researchers from the big health industry and related fields. The cooperation in big health areas worldwide is thus strengthened, and resources and achievements are shared. The forum will promote the industrial innovation or revolution and high-quality development of big health industry for our society.

Venue: Hengqin-Macau

Hengqin is the Guangdong-Macau In-Depth Cooperation Zone, located in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, China. It is adjacent to Hong Kong and Macau, with an area of about 106 square kilometers. The General Plan for Construction of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin was issued by the Chinese government in September 2021, which makes Hengqin the only region in China that integrates with all the national new area, free trade pilot zone, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and Guangdong-Macau In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. Hengqin has the lowest tax rate and the most distinctive preferential policies in China, and is the international window of Macau. The Greater Bay Area is rich in capital and is one of world innovation centers. It supports for Macau's economic diversification development and the practice of "one country, two systems" of Chinese government. It is the important content of the Hengqin's plan that focuses on developing advanced science and technology, promoting Macau brands for the registered big health products in Hengqin, such as Chinese medicine, food and health care products, and building a world-class industrial base and innovation highland.

Macau SAR (Special Administrative Region) is the land-water junction of the mainland and the South China Sea, composed of the Macau Peninsula, Taipa Island and Coloane Island. It is adjacent to Guangdong Province and 60 kilometers away from Hong Kong. Macau SAR is an international free port, a world tourism and leisure center, and one of the four major gambling cities in the world. Macau is rated by the World Trade Organization (WTO) as one of the most open trade and investment systems in the world. It enjoys the status of a free port and a separate customs territory, and has a wide network of international markets, maintaining the trade relations with more than 100 countries and regions around the world. Its business operation rules are consistent with international practices, and the investment and business procedures are simple. The procedures for establishing enterprises from other places are the same as those for local investors. Thus, it provides an ideal business environment for investors worldwide.
